Get a taste of metalsmithing while creating a set of three stacking rings of your own! In this three-hour, beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll get hands-on experience with a few fundamental jewelry-making techniques as you learn to form, solder, and finish simple stacking rings.
The workshop is taught by jewelry designer and educator Annelise Yee Field, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design’s Jewelry + Metalsmithing program with eight years of jewelry teaching experience.
Each student will receive enough sterling silver wire to create three rings that can be worn individually or together as a custom stack. No previous jewelry-making experience is required.
Please note: Soldering requires the use of a jeweler’s torch and an open flame. Students should be comfortable working with fire under guided instruction. All torch work will be taught and supervised by the instructor.
Additional costs for silver and materials will be collected at the beginning of class.
